Fire Vapor Special Edition: New Xbox Wireless Controller now available, highly customizable and with exclusive background

With the Fire Vapor Special Edition, Microsoft's Vapor series received a new addition yesterday, which is designed to represent a blazing fire. The controller can be personalized down to the smallest detail and unlocks an exclusive background for the Xbox Series X/S.

Microsoft's Vapor series is a collection of Xbox Wireless Controllers designed with dynamic patterns and available in a variety of colors. No two controllers are the same. The patterns always differ slightly from one another. So far, the controller has been available in three variants: Stromcloud Vapor (blue), Dream Vapor (purple/pink) and Nocturnal Vapor (green/black). Yesterday, Microsoft added the fourth controller, the Fire Vapor, which comes in an orange and red fire design.

Technically, the Xbox controllers from the Vapor collection do not differ from a normal Xbox wireless controller, but offer rubberized grips with a diamond pattern and metal control crosses as standard. In addition, the first connection between the Vapor controller and the Xbox Series X/S (available for $ 566 on Amazon) unlocks an exclusive background. In the case of the Fire Vapor, this is a dynamic fire background.

The Fire Vapor Special Edition is available in the Microsoft Store for around $ 70. In the Xbox Design Lab, gamers can personalize the controllers from the Vapor collection down to the smallest detail. However, additional costs are then incurred for features such as the rubberized grips. The controller can even be engraved for an extra charge of around $ 10.
