iPhone beats Android in home repairability tests
Despite what many think, the iPhone is among the easiest models to repair at home, beating out the Android flagships from Google and Samsung.
To estimate the DIY repairability of smartphones Electronics Hub he analysed hundreds of repair guides for 228 smartphone models on iFixit, a company that provides guides and tools for repairing devices. Despite Apple’s controversial history with the Right to Repair movement, it’s surprising that the company tops all other brands in the list of easiest smartphones to repair. The iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 13, iPhone 14, and iPhone 12 all make the list thanks to fast repair times and user-friendly repair guides, with the oldest iPhone of the bunch coming first place.

In 2022, Apple made it easier to self-repair its iPhones by allowing customers to obtain model-specific parts, tools, and manuals directly from the company.
