Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro announced

Xiaomi’s two new tablets arrive with a familiar form.

Although the Xiaomi 13 Ultra was undoubtedly the highlight of the manufacturer’s event today, we must not forget about the two newly introduced tablets, the Xiaomi Pad 6 and the Pad 6 Pro, which, in addition to many important developments, have also moved to a new look that evokes the iPad at the same time Pros and the appearance of Xiaomi’s 13 mobile series.

For example, the display has undergone significant development, in both models there is an 11-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 1800×2880. The 16:10 aspect ratio panel has a 144Hz refresh rate in the Test, and the plain model has retained the 120Hz refresh rate of the fifth series.

The internal specification is also exciting, the Pad 6 Pro uses the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, while the Pad 6 comes with the Snapdragon 870 SoC. Both devices come with MIUI 14 based on Android 13, which we can enjoy for a long time with the flagship’s 8,600 mAh battery. The Xiaomi Pad 6, i.e. the smaller model, will be even bigger, with 8,840 mAh, but it can be charged with “only” 33W compared to the 67W charging of the Pro.

The difference is bigger on the camera front, the Pro model has a 50 MP back and a new 20 MP rear lens, which can follow us during a video call, while the basic model only has a 13 MP rear and an 8 It features an MP front panel sensor. Fortunately, there will be no problems with the sound, because both versions get a six-element Dolby Atmos speaker package.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro will be available in black, blue, and sparkling gold. The base model debuts around $291, this is the 6/128GB model. The Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro obviously starts from a higher price range, here the basic model will be the 8/256GB, which will cost $392, but the most expensive version, 12/512, will be asked for “only” $480.
