Replacing a SIM card with an eSIM is finally possible in the Play24 app

Until then, anyone who wanted to exchange a physical chip for a virtual one had to go to the Play Store. After many months, the situation changed.

From now on, this process can be carried out from the Play24 application. The exchange procedure is free of charge.

How to replace the card through the Play24 application?

Make sure your device has turned off Wi-Fi, authorization is done by mobile data transmission

The physical SIM card you want to replace with an eSIM must be active and in your smartphone

You must have the latest version of the Play24 app downloaded from Google Play or the Apple App Store

After going through the process, the new eSIM will be installed automatically, without using a QR code!

You can trade in the Play24 app any day, anytime! However, the complete transfer still takes 3 hours and we still inform you of the progress of the process by email and SMS to the existing card.

The company also announced that it is working on an eSIM card for Apple Watch watches.
