Tango: the printer (smart) and decorative element
Making hassle-free printing seems to be HP's motto for its new Tango printer, considered by the manufacturer as the world's first intelligent home use. The peripheral can be activated by voice, when coupled with Amazon Echo devices or Google Assistant. The printer works in the cloud, allowing users to make prints, scans or photocopies of any connected device. The printer is also notable for the compact design and minimalist lines, encouraging users to merge the peripheral with the room's decoration. For this, HP offers textile covers in different shades, inspired by the latest international trends in fashion and design. The LED illuminates the paper tray during printing or when the paper is out of paper. The manufacturer ensures that HP Tango can save up to 70% of ink, and being smart, it automatically orders ink cartridges when they are nearly gone. The printer features a user interface supported by the HP Smart application, which allows for interaction even when away from home, via mobile data or Wi-Fi. Users will receive notifications when printing is complete, a diagnosis of ink and paper levels, or even when the cover is closed.
HP Tango arrives in October in two models: the base version that will cost 149.99 euros and the Tango X, which includes the cover, for 199.99 euros. The app works on iOS and Android smartphones.
