Many Galaxy cell phone users have been asking for new features for some time now, and one of the most requested areas is the battery. Many would like Samsung to increase the capacity and improve the charging, which has been the same for years.
Currently, several brands use high-density batteries and fast charging. However, a new leak reveals that the Galaxy S26 Ultra should be launched without any new features in this area.
According to the tipster PandaFlash, Samsung should maintain its conservative approach with the battery. The South Korean company has no plans to increase the capacity of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. If there is any increase, it should be below 5,400 mAh.
This indicates that the manufacturer still does not want to use high-density batteries, even though some rumors have mentioned this possibility. The next Galaxy S Ulta will probably have a capacity of 5,000 mAh, the same as the line since 2020.
Samsung manages to offer good battery life with 5,000 mAh thanks to software and optimizations, but in numbers, this capacity is well below the Chinese models, which already have around 7,000 mAh.
Samsung is also unlikely to bring any new features when it comes to charging. The South Korean company is expected to keep the number at 45W, even with competitors above 120W. Unfortunately, the informant did not mention wireless charging.
There may also be another reason why Samsung is not changing the battery capacity of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The South Korean company is reportedly focused on bringing a slim design as a differentiator for its devices.
