Elon Musk: AI will surpass humans
You may have heard a lot of people say that artificial intelligence will never surpass humans because it doesn't have its own creativity. Well, at least for Elon Musk that's not true.
The owner of Tesla and SpaceX shared his ideas during the 27th annual Global Conference organized by the Milken Institute. The billionaire believes that AI will surpass humans in intelligence, to the point that “the percentage of biological intelligence decreases with each passing month. Eventually, the percentage of biological intelligence will be less than 1%.”
Despite the idea, Musk does not have a prediction of when this will happen, but believes that “biological intelligence can serve as protection, as an intelligence buffer. But as a percentage, almost all intelligence will be digital.”
The billionaire also says that today this scenario seems very distant and that AI still has flaws that require human intervention, however, he believes that with the speed at which these technologies are evolving, these steps must be overcome in the future. The information is from Euronews.
Elon Musk also answered questions about SpaceX and the company's future in space exploration. “We want to do science fiction, not forever fiction. Let’s make life multiplanetary and a spacefaring civilization, be out there among the stars,” he said.
The billionaire also commented on Starlink and said that technology should be increasingly decisive in the world. “I think Starlink will really boost countries’ GDP”, he concluded.
