Nokia 215 4G and Nokia 235 4G slated to join Nokia 225 4G as new feature phone releases with display and USB Type-C upgrades
HMD Global is preparing to release not one but three new Nokia 2 series feature phones. While the Nokia 215 4G, Nokia 225 4G and Nokia 235 4G all contain refinements like USB Type-C connectivity, they differ in other areas like camera and display hardware.
Little over a week has passed since Android Headlines and @OnLeaks shared renders of a new Nokia feature phone. According to the pair, the device would be available soon as the Nokia 225 4G. However, it turns out that the device is one of three forthcoming Nokia 2 series feature phone releases.
As the image below shows, the other two models are the Nokia 215 4G and Nokia 235 4G. While it may be difficult to tell the trio apart upon first glance, HMD Global has attempted to distinguish them in various areas. For instance, the Nokia 215 4G is the only one of the three that does not have cameras. Meanwhile, the Nokia 225 4G is the series' sole representative to feature a 2.4-inch display.
By contrast, both the Nokia 215 4G and Nokia 235 4G utilise 2.8-inch displays, although all are described as IPS panels. Seemingly, the Nokia 235 4G has a better camera than the Nokia 225 4G, too. The trio appear to offer similar bodies though, as well as USB Type-C ports and a traditional T9 physical keyboard. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen when of these new feature phones will be formally unveiled, let alone orderable. Incidentally, it seems that HMD Global is on the verge of bringing back the Nokia 3210 as the Nokia 3210 2024.
