Silos, based on Hugh Howey’s novel, debuts on Apple TV+
In 2021, Apple bought the film rights to Hugh Howey’s novel “Wool”. Today, the first episodes of the series based on it, entitled “Silos“.
“Silos” is a science-fiction series presenting a dystopian vision of a world in which the surface of our planet has turned into a toxic wasteland, and the last surviving people live in an underground city where the government has introduced very rigid and restrictive laws “for the benefit of the citizens”. However, not all residents want to voluntarily submit to these rules, and some even believe that the story of environmental pollution is a lie designed to enslave them. Rebecca Ferguson stars in the lead role. from Doctor Sleep, Life, and the Mission Impossible series. The first episodes were directed by Morten Tyldum, who previously directed eight episodes of Defending My Son for Apple TV+, and was written by Graham Yost, best known for from his work on the series “Band of Brothers”. The author of the book’s original was also involved in the project.
Apple released Apple TV+ today only the first two episodes. More will be added to the service catalog every week on Friday.
