Moto Edge 40 phone is dressed in a material that differs from the mass

The aluminum-framed phone is protected against dust and water according to the IP68 rating. Despite this, the phone is commendably thin, as the dimensions of the device are 158.4 x 72 x 7.6 millimeters. The weight of the phone is 171 grams. The backing material is called vegan leather, so it should offer better grip compared to smooth materials. The color options are black, blue and green.

The phone’s screen is 6.55 inches. The POLED technology panel reaches a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 144 hertz. The maximum brightness is stated to be 1200 nits, and the screen also supports HDR10+ wide color reproduction. Sound reproduction is handled by Dolby Atmos-compatible stereo speakers.

MediaTek’s Dimensity 8020 system chip acts as the core of the Motorola edge 40 model. The device has eight gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of storage space. The operating system is Android 13.

The phone’s battery has a capacity of 4400 milliampere hours. Charging is possible with a power of 68 watts with a cable and with a power of 15 watts wirelessly. The sales package contains a 68 watt charger.

There is a reasonable two-camera solution at the back. The main camera uses a reasonably sized 50 megapixel sensor (1/1.5”) and the camera’s aperture value is f1.4 and it is optically stabilized. The ultra-wide-angle camera can also be used as a macro camera. This f2.2 aperture camera uses a 13-megapixel sensor and offers a 120-degree field of view. The front camera has a 32-megapixel sensor and its aperture value is f2.4.

Sales of the Motorola edge 40 phone start on May 22. The price of the phone is 599 euros.
