BENQ

BenQ TK860i

Company introduces new 4K projectors with HDR-PRO

Company BenQ presented a trio of new projectors with 4K resolution (3840×2160 pixels). First is the W4000i mod, which uses 4LED technology with a lifespan of 20,000 hours, or 30,000 in ECO mode, will offer 10-bit color and a luminous flux of up to 3200 ANSI lumens. It has 100% coverage of DCI-P3 and Rec.709, we can find technologies like HLG, HDR10+, HDR10, there is also Filmmaker Mode. At a frequency of 60 Hz, it has a latency of 17.9 ms, in Full HD it also handles frequencies of 120 Hz and 240 Hz. There are 3 HDMI 2.0b ports, two USB-A 2.0 ports, RS-232 and even a 5W speaker (according to the technical data, only one). Android TV 11.0 and Netflix are supported.

Next, we have a W2710i model, which also has 4K resolution and 10-bit color, but the light source is a classic lamp with a lifespan of 4,000 hours (10,000 in Eco mode and 15,000 in SmartEco), the luminous flux reaches at 2200 ANSI lumens maximum. This model will offer HDR HLG and HDR10 technologies, the basic Filmmaker Mode also remains. It covers 100% of the Rec.709 space, but drops to 95% for DCI-P3. The ports are the same, we are already talking about two 5W speakers.

Finally, there's more TK860i. It also supports 10-bit color and has a classic light bulb, but the luminous flux is higher at 3300 ANSI lumens. Covers 98% of DCI-P3 space, other coverage not specified. While the W2710i is geared more towards dark environments, the TK860i, thanks to its higher luminous flux, is geared towards brighter environments. For the W2710i and TK680i, Android TV support is via a dongle.
