SAMSUNG

The Galaxy Watch series from Samsung is very well established in the market and is one of the most popular watches in the segment. The fifth generation is currently on the market, which will be replaced by the sixth this year, and the first fragments of what it could offer are beginning to surface. It looks like we’re going to see a lot of new stuff this year.
New, more efficient drive...With news about the new generation they came sites GSMArena and the first element they point to is the processor change. The Exynos W920 model, known from the Galaxy Watch 4 and 5 series, should replace the new Exynos W980 chipset built on 5nm lithography. It will reportedly be up to 10% more powerful and efficient, which would improve battery life.
Speaking of the battery – we should see an increase in capacity, which could mean, in combination with a more efficient drive, a really interesting endurance per charge. And given that Samsung has failed to improve the processor in the current Galaxy Watch 5 (they have the same chipset as the Galaxy Watch 4 from 2021), the upgrade in this direction is welcome.

The design will probably not undergo any fundamental changes, although there is talk of thinner frames and it can be expected that the manufacturer will also maintain top-quality workmanship and increased durability. This means a titanium chassis for the Pro version combined with IP68 protection and MIL-STD-810G military resistance. The standard Watch 6 will probably be made of aluminum.
The Galaxy Watch 6 is just around the corner...The exact launch date of the new Galaxy Watch 6 is still in the stars, however, it is very likely that it will arrive in the summer, along with the puzzles Galaxy Z Fold 5 a Flip 5. We’ll see what Samsung comes up with in the end, but it looks like we’ll be seeing significantly more significant improvements than when switching between the Galaxy Watch 4 and 5.
