SSD Coolers Are Starting To Look Like Graphics Cards: RGB Illuminated M.2 Four

SSD coolers are starting to look more and more like low-profile graphics cards. China-based JuiShark has recently introduced a new M.2 SSD cooler. Dubbed the M.2 Four, it is the successor to the M.2 Three presented last year. Surprisingly, the company has made the cooler a bit smaller with the latest generation design. However, the design is unusual.

At 71mm tall, the M.2 Four is still huge. It’s even a few millimeters taller than a new generation low-profile graphics card. This huge cooler comes with three color options and an aRGB fan.

JuiShark says the radiator material is aluminum alloy and the M.2 slot is made of stainless steel. According to the Chinese manufacturer, “heat dissipation becomes better” with this combination. There is also a 5015 aRGB fan (possibly 50 mm) with a 4-pin PWM connector on the heatsink.

The graphics at the top left show the M.2 Four cooled Samsung 980 Pro 500 GB SSD in green. JuiShark’s graphs show the comparative NAND temperatures at the top, and the controller temperatures in the second bars. When testing the M.2 Four, the system was under load and the room temperature was 27 degrees.

Silver or black models with RGB fans cost the equivalent of $26 in Taiwan selling. The all-black, non-RGB model carries a price tag of $18.
