Radeon PRO W7900 and Radeon PRO W7800 graphics cards introduced

AMD Radeon PRO W7900 AMD announced the new AMD Radeon PRO W7000 Series workstation graphics cards built on the AMD RDNA 3 architecture, along with high performance and energy efficiency. AMD Radeon PRO W7900 and AMD Radeon PRO W7800 graphics cards announced.

The world’s first professional graphics cards with advanced AMD chiplet design and the first card to support DisplayPort 2.1 for a superior visual experience on next-generation displays, AMD Radeon PRO W7000 Series graphics cards are the most powerful professional graphics cards AMD has ever produced.

AMD Radeon PRO W7900 delivers up to 1.5x faster performance than the previous generation, while both graphics cards outperform the competition for demanding professional and creative applications. The key features of the new graphics cards are as follows:

-AMD RDNA 3 Architecture and Chiplet Design: It provides higher performance and more efficiency compared to RDNA 2 architecture. The new AMD RDNA 3 processing units provide approximately 50% more ray tracing performance per processing unit than the previous generation by allocating resources between processing, AI and ray tracing.

-Exclusive AI Acceleration and Second-Gen Ray Tracing: New AI instructions and increased AI throughput provide more than 2x the performance of previous AMD RDNA 2 architecture, while second-generation ray tracing technology delivers significantly higher performance than the previous generation.

-AMD Radiance Display Engine with DisplayPort 2.1 Support: It supports the highest resolutions and over 68 billion colors. Provides support for AMD RDNA 2 architecture and displays with higher refresh rates compared to competing products. Display outputs support next-generation displays and multi-monitor configuration options, creating an ultra-immersive visual environment.

-Certified for Leading Professional Applications: AMD continues to work with leading professional software application vendors to ensure that AMD Radeon PRO graphics cards are built for demanding 24/7 environments and tested to meet exceptional standards, offering the ideal balance of performance and stability. AMD Radeon PRO W7000 Series graphics cards are expected to be available from leading retailers from Q2 2023. It will take the second half of 2023 for the product to be included in OEM and ready-made systems.
