WhatsApp launches dark mode for iPhone and Android

Quite popular on the internet in recent months, the famous "night mode" or "dark mode" can now be used on WhatsApp. The chat app launched on Tuesday, 3, the dark mode function for iPhone and Android phones. The feature is already available on both systems and can be activated from the settings.
For Android 10 and iOS 13 users, the function must be activated directly in the device settings. In the case of devices running Android 9 or earlier, it is necessary to access the "WhatsApp Settings" menu, then tap on "Conversations" and "Theme", and then select the dark mode.
Created from frequent requests from users, WhatsApp joins other applications and operating systems that already have the mode as an option for those who do not want to use the clearest screen on the phone. On the platform, the dark mode has a dark gray background and whitish tones that decrease the brightness of the screen.
The company also informed that it dedicated efforts and researches to develop the function, mainly, in a more comfortable reading for the user and in the visual identification of the resource.
